Overview
The VREngine/SMD-PCI series is the Medical Imaging board using the newly developed Lupin 2 Medical Imaging Processor for high to super-high resolution LCD monitors. Based on the experience of the VREngine/MD series development, the performance and function of this new board series is drastically improved. The VREngine/SMD-PCI series can show its capability at the application fields that require high performance and high precision medical imaging diagnosis in a hospital using CT, MRI or other advanced modalities. The VREngine/SMD-PCI series is composed of four products. SMD2 supports 1M to 2M pixels resolution, SMD3 supports 1M to 3M pixels resolution, SMD5 supports 1M to 5M pixels resolution and the SMD9 supports 1M to 9M pixels resolution. The VREngine/SMD-PCI series is the 32-bit/66MHz PCI board and Microsoft® Windows® 2000 / XP and Linux operating systems are supported.

About Lupin 2
The core technology of RealVision is the 2D/3D graphics LSI development technology. RealVision provides the sub-system product solution based on application specific graphics LSIs. The Lupin series is the medical imaging processor used to display medical images on LCD monitors. The grayscale display, 10-bit scale display, multiple monitor display, high speed 2D drawing, gamma correction and other application specific functions are integrated to this original LSI.
