Compatible with legacy and current modalities
The MIVD 1218 is compatible with any type of video input signal (analog/digital,
composite video/non-composite video, interlaced/non-interlaced,…
) and offers a form-fitfunction replacement for the monochrome CRT displays
currently used on your GE, Philips, Toshiba or equivalent modality system.
Accurate interlaced signal conversion
The MIVD 1218 converts your sytem’s existing interlaced output
to a proper signal to drive the LCD panel, thereby eliminating the up
scan converter traditionally needed for flicker-free images. Static
and moving images (cardiology) are converted by Barco’s sophisticated
motion detection system, based upon fuzzy logic algorithms. Barco’s
MIVD 1218 flat panel display also features automatic frame rate conversion
when needed.
Plug and play installation
The MIVD 1218 offers a turnkey solution for CRT replacement and requires
no adjustments or calibration at installation. The Automatic Gain Adjust
functionality corrects the input signal for optimum display on screen
in any environment. For even better image representation, Automatic
Phase Adjust synchronizes dot and sample clocks. With these automatic
adjustment functions, your installation is up and running in no time.
This system also guarantees image quality and consistency over displays
in multi-head configurations.
CRT monitor or DICOM transfer curve compliance
The MIVD 1218 has pre-stored Look-Up-Tables (LUT) allowing users to
select their preferred display transfer curve, without having to recalculate
current video ouput LUTs. Selecting the CRT transfer curve displays
images exactly as on the CRT display previously connected, whereas selecting
the DICOM LUT renders images with correct grayscale tracking over the
total luminance range as specified in the international ACR/NEMA and
DIN standards. Moreover, user-programmable LUTs can also be downloaded
into the MIVD1218.
Designed for ceiling mount applications
The MIVD 1218 comes with a 100 mm VESA mount interface, which allows
for easy fixation to the ceiling mount bracket. The built-in power supply
avoids the need for a separate power supply unit. Only a power cable
and video connection are needed. For desktop use in control or reading
rooms, an optional tilt- and swivel base is available.
